News on Track

Tracking has proved to be a very popular pass-time with the Ballarat Members & Friends, thanks to Marilyn who I must say has a whole lot of patience and is a great teacher.

All members look forward to the Tracking Day which is held once a month at various locations around the Ballarat area, so much so that friends have also come along to join in what is not only a great learning curve for most of us, but a wonderful social day for the two legged species as well as their canine companions:-)

On Sunday the 16 May 2010, we all gathered together at the Haddon Lions Club Reserve at 7am on what could only be called a 'brisk' morning!

Marilyn put 17 dogs through their tracking paces. The dogs varied in tracking ability from the experienced to the novice dog & handler.  

I will see if I am able to coerce Mazza into writing another report for "Come Track with Us" but in the meantime I hope you enjoy the photos that members and friends took today.
